Electricity in Israel is mostly 220 volts, 50 cycles. However, many hotels have a built-in 110-volt electric razor transformer in bathrooms, for electric shavers and some have started to offer 110-volt connections in rooms with work desks, for laptop computers. If you are coming with electrical or electronic products from home, it is recommended to take a voltage converter on your trip, as well as a plug adapter. (It's best to buy a universal adapter and converter kit before coming. Otherwise, one may be purchased in Israel quite inexpensively).
Most newer sockets in Israel are three pronged, but different from any of the three-pronged sockets used in Europe.
